I have recently had the privilege of purchasing a large part of the tram museum which Peter Davey of Bristol has housed for many years in his garage.  Some of you may have seen him on TV. He is a wonderful old gentleman who has promoted the tramway cause through his publications and talks with slides for many years. The items in this list feature many of the smaller items which can be sent through the post. Much of the remainder is so large that buyers will have to collect from here; e.g there are very heavy enamel advertisements which the Bristol trams carried, with floor boarding and even the fronts of two Bath trams.  Two of my favourite items are a thick plate glass window which still has printed details on a poster in blue and red of the third stage of the Bristol Tramways Replacement Scheme commencing on 16th July 1939 which is as fresh and clean as the day it was pasted (bar some oil staining); also two ornate and very heavy rosettes housing the overhead wires recently removed from a church in Bristol.  I have also taken 5 destination boxes into stock.

Available next month: London Trolleybus Depots part 3, by Hugh Taylor, laminated hardback, together with 4 plans, 184pp 18 being in colour, £44.

Other titles which will hopefully be ready in November/December: Around Ipswich by Trolleybus; Around Brighton by Trolleybus, part 1; London Transport Country Buses, part 2 – North; and Gloucester Transport.

New customers: please note that I always try and note serious defects, but not blemishes like inscriptions, bookplates, odd handwritten notes, slight creasing/grubbiness/tears, dust spots, or rusty staples. Inevitably dustwrappers (d/w) are often worn at the edges. Also folded maps often have small tears at the folds, but again, I will note any more serious tears.

Postage is extra at cost, and there is no packing charge for second-hand material.   This list only represents a fraction of my stocks – please enquire about other titles.

Measurements I give for posters, plans, photographs etc. are approximate.

Abbreviations: dw = dustwrapper, pp = pages, pb or sb = softback, hb = hardback, inc = includes, OS = Omnibus Society

Finally: If anyone is considering disposing of some or all of their collections, then distance is no object – I have an agent, John Wiltshire, tel: 01280 700179, in the south, near Banbury, who can travel to calls in England, while I can cover Scotland.
